Marvellous Overnight Rules

We’re always working hard with our friends at Dinton Pastures to plan out the site, it is a working country park so there are often new features we have to work with and around. We’ve laid out the campsite rules here so you can come and enjoy the weekend with all our guests in complete safety and comfort.

CAMPSITE RULES for ALL TYPES OF CAMPING

  • All traffic WALKING PACE at all times – children and pedestrians are around the entire site. Please obey instructions from any members of Marvellous Crew, Security or Country Services park staff.
  • Absolutely no solid fuel Barbecues (disposable or charcoal) or any type of floor mounted cooking appliances, the ground is extremely dry so we cannot take any risks. Table-height gas cookers and gas Barbecues are permitted and we lay out emergency sand buckets around the site, but please be extra careful and if possible bring your own fire blankets and/or suitable extinguishers. We know you’re all seasoned Campers and so should know this already!
  • No generators are allowed in any of the camp sites.
  • No motorbikes, cars or non-campervans allowed in any of the Camping, Glamping or Motorhome areas. Caravan tow cars will be in the dedicated Caravan area separate from the others.
  • Red Routes – there will be taped off red routes throughout the entire site, these are for Emergency Vehicles, site equipment movement and facility servicing access. This includes large tankers, tractors and heavy lifting equipment. Please do not pitch or park in these areas at any time, they are there for everyone’s safety and comfort. Any breaches of this essential rule will result in the item or vehicle being removed without warning, using site equipment if necessary.
  • We’ll have a Tent Marshalling team on the campsite to help regulate pitching out so everyone gets a fair but reasonable amount of space.
  • Please bring what you need but no more than you need! If you are camping as a group it is requested you all try to arrive together so our staff can manage the space effectively. Motorhome groups need not all arrive together, please advise the Motorhome Marshall on arrival and every effort will be made to accommodate you all in groups.
  • Any tent Campers that are with a motorhome or caravan group are welcome to pitch neatly and tightly within the Motorhome area, but your cars must be  parked in the designated area near the Sandford Lane entrance and not within the motorhome area. No cars are allowed in the Motorhome area, not even for unloading.
  • Please note: we are classified as a temporary site for camping and motorhomes, therefore the pitch distancing rules applicable to fixed campsites are relaxed. We make every effort to ensure comfortable spacing, but we have a limited area in which to pitch! If you have any questions about this policy please contact us via boxoffice@marvellousfestivals.com
  • Please be considerate of your fellow Campers at all times, and no music or other loud noises after midnight. Remember – we are the family festival so there will be children needing to sleep.
  • Litter stations will be provided throughout the site, please use them responsibly and take anything that could start a fire e.g. glass, home with you.
  • Showers and washrooms and additional and Accessible loos will be located in the centre of the campsite where you will also be able to get fresh drinking water from the standpipes, and you will find grey water disposal facilities.
  • Whilst we plan to provide a chemical (Elsan) waste point for chemical toilet disposal, due to the drinking water supply and drainage restrictions we will not be able to provide a cassette washdown facility.
  • We intend to open the vehicle access gates around midday on Friday, so no need to arrive too early, there is some space to queue at the Sandford Lane gate, but remember the Activity Centre will also be open and the car park in use by the general public. Please arrive by 20:00 on Friday as the gates will then be closed for the night.
  • Sandford Lane from the Woodley direction has both 6’6”/2.0m width and 3 tonne weight restrictions and is impassable for Motorhomes and Caravans, so please make sure you approach from Winnersh or Hurst – there are no restrictions from this side.
  • Sat Nav for Sandford Lane (Camping, Motorhomes, Caravans and day parking): RG10 0SU
  • Sat Nav for Davis Street (Glamping, Accessible Parking, Pedestrian access, Traders and Taxi pick-up): RG10 0TH
